Julien Pierre, a former French national team international and ardent defender of the ecological cause, is behind "Fair Play For Planet": a green label, co-constructed with the French Agency for Ecological Transition, to support and recognize sports players committed to the environment.

Interview with an agent of change working to help sport see things in a greener light.

1- You are behind the Fair Play For Planet green label. Can you tell us about this label? When was it launched and what is its purpose?

The FPFP label, developed by Fair Play For Planet, was created in November 2020. It is the first environmental label for sports clubs, venues and events. Its aim is to encourage sporting entities to take concrete action to improve their environmental performance. The Fair Play For Planet approach is based on operational, measurable and virtuous actions for the planet. Through this approach, we wish to contribute to the emergence of a sustainable sports model, by making the members of our community players in the sporting world recognized for their commitments.
